Last week at the West Bloomfield Rotary Club meeting, Steven Tapper was the guest speaker. Steven Tapper is the Vice President of Tapper's Diamonds and Fine Jewelry. Tapper is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where he studied Art Education and Fine Arts. Steven prepared a slideshow for the Rotary Club called, "Now it is About Me! A Presentation About Self Preservation."
After graduating from Eastern Michigan University, Steven Tapper originally planned on a career involving pottery and ceramics. We are happy he chose the fine jewelry route. Tapper's Diamonds & Fine Jewelry opened their doors in 1977 and have been Michigan's most trusted jeweler ever since.
"We do not remember days, we remember moments," said Tapper.
This is Tapper's favorite saying. A major factor of his success has come as result of going places and trying different things. A greater range of experiences leads to greater promise.
"Take a look around to discover something beautiful."
Artists must have resources to visualize from. Tapper has created many pieces of jewelry by being aware of what's around him. He has turned a bird he saw flying through the air into a diamond ring. Steven thrives on showing people creative ways to use art.
Steven Tapper has been working in the same field since 1977. When asked about sustaining passion for his work after so many years Tapper said, "I have to feel fulfillment at work each day. I don't want to leave until I know everything has been put on the table."
One of Steven Tapper's favorite local places to visualize art ideas is Kensington Park. Next time you are walking around and something catches your eye, snap a picture of it. You never know what it may become.
"Tapper's offers an unparalleled level of customer service and an outstanding selection of the highest quality diamonds, fine designer jewelry and luxury timepieces. Tapper's has been helping our clients Mark the Moment of special occasions and life-cycle events for over 37 years, and we pride ourselves on the personalized service we provide. With three convenient locations serving the metro Detroit community, Tapper's is ready to exceed your expectations - each and every time you visit us."
The West Bloomfield Rotary Club meets Friday's at noon at Huerto Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar. This Friday the guest speaker will be Ann Arbor Rotary member, Manish Mehta.
