Lab grown diamonds are available at Tapper’s and are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes.

what are lab grown diamonds?

Like natural diamonds, lab grown diamonds are composed of carbon atoms arranged in a crystal structure. The only difference is how the diamond is formed and how rare they are.

Lab grown diamonds are produced in a laboratory using advanced technological processes that simulate the earth's mantle's high pressure and temperature conditions where natural diamonds are formed. Natural and lab grown diamonds share the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as natural diamonds and can also possess exceptional sparkle, clarity, and durability.

Tapper’s offers a wide selection of lab grown diamonds that are visually and chemically indistinguishable from natural diamonds while
offering greater affordability and a more sustainable option.

LAB GROWN DIAMONDS VS. NATURAL DIAMONDS

Lab grown diamonds exhibit the same fire, scintillation, and sparkle as natural diamonds, and it’s nearly impossible to differentiate between them, even when looking through a jewelers loupe.

Tapper’s Diamond Lab uses specialized equipment to distinguish between a natural and lab grown diamond. Both diamonds often come with a lab report that identifies them as either natural or lab grown and includes third-party evaluation of clarity, color, carat and cut.

VS. DIAMOND SIMULANTS

It is important to note the major distinction between lab grown diamonds and diamond simulants.

Lab grown diamonds are not diamond simulants.

Diamond simulants, such as cubic zirconia and moissanite, look similar to diamonds but are not true carbon crystals. Simulants can be distinguished from natural or lab grown diamonds using only the naked eye. They do not have the same chemical or physical properties as natural diamonds and are

significantly less durable.
