We also accept precious metal class rings, and sterling silver items in the following categories: flatware, hollowware, platters, pitchers, and serving pieces. Additionally, we purchase precious metal coins, bullion, and select timepieces, depending on the brand and condition.

Generally, we don't purchase gold-filled or gold-plated items. We do, however, evaluate rare exceptions that carry historical significance. Feel free to reach out if you think your item qualifies!

We are always eager to purchase sterling silver, including flatware sets, platters, pitchers, candle holders, and other hollowware. Please note that many sterling silver housewares contain wax, resin, or plaster weighting to add structural stability. When we evaluate these items, our payout is based strictly on the intrinsic value of the pure sterling silver, so filler weights are deducted accordingly.

Lending is only available at our Novi (8 Mile & Haggerty) location.

Tapper’s Gold Exchange at Twelve Oaks only buys gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, coins, estate jewelry, and timepieces but does not offer lending or insurance appraisals. Loans are limited to our Novi location.

At this time, loans are limited to our Novi (8 Mile & Haggerty) location. You may visit our locations in West Bloomfield, Troy, Novi at Haggerty, Shelby Township, Macomb, Milford, Grosse Pointe, and Novi at Twelve Oaks to buy or sell gold, estate jewelry, and timepieces.

Payments can be made at any time during the loan or paid all at once at time of pickup, but must be paid prior to the end of the 90 days in order to maintain ownership of your pledge/pawn. Only cash payments will be accepted.

At the end of the 90 days, if the principal and interest are unpaid, ownership of the pledged item will be transferred to Tapper’s Gold Exchange. If the interest has been paid, we can offer you a renewal, which extends your loan for another 90 days.

The value of your item is calculated based on the current market value.

Tapper’s Gold Exchange accepts several types of personal assets as collateral for your loan, including fine jewelry, gold & precious metals, diamonds, gemstones, and timepieces.
